  • Two people were arrested after a serious assault in 101 in which a knife was used; the victim was taken to an emergency department.
  • Another person was hospitalised after an assault outside a nightclub in the same district; the suspect fled the scene.
  • Police also logged a weapons and drug arrest and an e-scooter crash involving a rider suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.

Two people were arrested in central Reykjavík after a serious assault in the 101 district in which a knife was used, with the victim taken to an emergency department. In the same police log, RÚV reports, officers also recorded a separate assault outside a nightclub, a weapons and drug arrest, and an e-scooter collision involving suspected intoxication.

The capital-area police did not say when the knife assault took place, only that the victim was transported for treatment and the two suspected attackers were held in custody cells. The condition of the victim was not disclosed. In a separate case in the same district, another person was taken to a hospital emergency unit after an assault outside a late-night venue. The alleged attacker left before police arrived. A further arrest in 101 involved suspected weapons-law violations and possession and handling of narcotics; police said that person was in a severely altered state linked to drug use and was also taken to an emergency department.

The fourth incident was less serious but came from the same night-time geography. A driver struck a person riding an electric scooter, causing minor injuries, and the scooter rider is suspected of having been under the influence of alcohol. That leaves one police diary entry for Reykjavík’s bar and club district with a stabbing, a second assault, a drug-and-weapons case and a traffic collision tied to suspected drinking. By morning, two suspects were in cells, one assault suspect had disappeared, and multiple people from the same few streets had been sent to hospital.
